Acid Rock Drainage, Metal Leaching & Geochemistry

Whether your mining project is in permafrost in the high Arctic, in temperate regions, the wet and the dry regions tropics, or arid continental interiors we have a team of experienced and internationally recognised engineers and geoscientists to develop cost-effective solutions to mine drainage issues. These issues can range from severe acidity to unusual trace elements.
Mine drainage has to be addressed at a number of stages of project life. From the requirements during new mine permitting, to optimisation of existing operations and development of closure plans, our teams delivers outcomes that are both technically superior and cost effective. Remediation and closure of abandoned mines is a specialisation. Over a large number of successful and challenging projects, we have more than two decades of experience in addressing drainage chemistry at all stages of the mining cycle.
The cornerstone of our approach to these projects is that release of acid rock drainage (ARD) is controlled by geological conditions. We therefore work with our clients' geologists to understand how the geology of their property affects drainage chemistry, and how it can be used to limit potential impacts and engineering costs.
