This achievement comes after the Perth based consultancy firm was named the AMP Business Award winner at the Western Australian titles held last month. The National awards were presented at a gala dinner in Melbourne on August 13. Telstra reported to have received more than 4200 nominations this year.

SRK Consulting provides specialised consultancy services in the mining, exploration and financial industries in Australia and worldwide. Since its start in 1992 as a small specialist geological consulting group, the company has grown to now offer a wide range of services, such as exploration, resource estimation, geophysical interpretation, mine planning and mine design, geotechnical engineering and geo-environmental studies as well as bankable documents.

The company’s operations in New South Wales and Queensland are channeled through offices in Sydney and Brisbane.

Continued involvement in China out of Australia culminated in the establishment of a new SRK company, SRK China, based in Beijing earlier this year.

“Considerable further growth is also being planned for this year,” said Peter Williams. “SRK has established an office in the Hunter Valley to service coal clients in that region, and we recently launched a 2-year structural geological synthesis study of the Bowen and Surat Basins in Queensland. In Western Australia we are currently expanding our services in the field of hydrogeology in response to client needs.”
