Geology specialist Stuart Munroe rejoins SRK

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — 9 February, 2017 - SRK Consulting (Australasia) welcomes Stuart Munroe, a structural geology expert and experienced exploration project and study manager, back to its Sydney office. Stuart worked for SRK for 11 years, from 1996 to 2007, before leaving to develop his career in a range of technical and corporate roles.

“We are very pleased that Stuart has returned to SRK as a principal consultant in geology and project evaluation. As we continue to  grow our Sydney office’s geological services, his corporate and exploration background will be a valuable asset for our team and clients,” said SRK Australia Managing Director Chris Woodfull.

During his original tenure with SRK, Stuart focused on the analysis of controls on mineralisation, resource model assessment, technical due diligence, independent expert reporting, and strategic planning. He was an integral part of a team that produced several highly-regarded regional geology and prospectivity studies covering a range of commodities for mining industry and government clients.

Between leaving SRK in 2007 and January of this year, Stuart worked as a senior corporate geology manager for Sino Gold Mining Limited, an independent consultant, exploration manager for Hill End Gold Limited, and a senior project geologist for Evolution Mining Limited at the Cowal Gold Operation.

Stuart has a PhD in Structural Geology from the Australian National University for his work on the Porgera gold deposit in Papua New Guinea. He also holds a graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Australian Securities Institute, (now the Financial Services Institute of Australasia) and is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
