Daniel Neuffer

Dan specializes in geotechnical investigation, slope stability analysis, engineering design, construction oversight, and closure planning. His experience includes:

  • Liquefaction and seismic stability analysis for tailings dams;
  • Multidisciplinary closure evaluations for whole slurry and dry stack tailings facilities;
  • Tailings and water dam safety reviews for precious and base metal mines;
  • Site characterization in mountain permafrost for tailings and waste rock facilities;
  • Options analyses for future tailings storage at large base metal mines; and
  • Engineering Design and construction quality assurance for heap leach and mine water facilities.


Dan’s geographic and field experience includes arctic, sub-arctic, mountainous, and desert regions. He earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Geological Engineering, holds Professional Civil Engineer registrations in Alaska and Nevada, and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
