Laetitia specialises in environment, water and waste legislation, policy implementation, management and protection, water and wastewater management, water quality assessment, environmental due diligence, environmental risk and liabilities assessment, environmental impact assessments, industrial waste and mine residue characterisation, acid mine drainage treatment, and project management. 

Her expertise includes project management, as well as extensive experience in the environmental, water and water legislation, conducting processes to obtain water and environmental authorisations, including the associated public participation, environmental impact assessments (EIA’s) for a variety of industrial and mining clients. She has extensive knowledge of acid mine drainage treatment and provides the following specialist advice:

  • peer review of environmental and water specialist studies,
  • environmental risk and liabilities assessment,
  • high level risk assessments (HLRA),
  • environmental specialist inputs towards concept, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies,
  • environmental specialist inputs towards closure costing assessments,
  • surface and groundwater quality monitoring and assessment,
  • waste classification,
  • water use licensing and characterisation of wastewater and surface waters,
  • steering and guiding of research projects in the water field through the Water Research Commission,
  • industrial and mining water and effluent management,
  • contaminated land characterisation and environmental reporting and environmental sampling,
  • section 24 G applications in terms of NEMA,
  • development of environmental research programmes,
  • project administration and database development and data management,
  • developing and implementation of training programmes for PDI’s and diffuse pollution.
