Laura’s expertise focuses on water-rock interactions in surface and groundwater systems, from the initial geochemical characterization to predictions of water quality along groundwater flow paths. She has experience in all phases of mining projects, from PEA to closure, with a focus on coal and copper porphyry deposits.
Other focus areas include geochemical modelling of pit lakes, reactive transport in groundwater systems, water quality predictions from mine components, selenium speciation and mobility, experimental design and characterization of deep groundwater.
