Leonardo de Freitas Leite

Leonardo is a competent person/qualified person according to the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO) and to the National Reporting Standards, including The JORC Code in Australia, NI 43-101 in Canada, and S-K 1300 in US. He is a Fellow and Chartered Professional of the AusIMM.

He has vast experience in open-pit and underground mines from the early stages of the mineral exploration through to mine operation. Including, leading and delivering projects/studies, such as: scoping studies, preliminary economic assessments, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, mineral resource and ore reserve audits, technical due diligence and economic assessments. 

He has attended more than one hundred open-pit and underground mine projects predominantly in LATAM, Europe, Australia and Central Asia for different mineral commodities, mainly iron ore, copper and gold.

Leonardo has extensive experience in estimating, evaluating, and reporting mineral resources and ore reserves based on international standards and according to the best practices in the mining industry. He also has specific knowledge in mine planning and design, production scheduling, fleet sizing, cost estimation and economic assessment for open pit and underground mines.
