He has focused mainly on the coordination of field geotechnical exploration campaigns, participation in different engineering stages of large-scale mining pits design and the interaction between open pit and underground mines. 

Nicolás has been involved in detailed engineering for underground works, such as hydraulic tunnels, roadworks and others, as well as in engineering expert reports.
