Tarik Hadj-Hamou

Tarik’s broad expertise has recently been focused on the stability analyses of natural man-made slopes under static and seismic conditions; the design control and management of stormwater systems, the design of underground water control and management systems, and design associated with liner and cover systems based on earthen material and/or geosynthetics.

Tarik has prepared, managed, and overseen geotechnical investigations (field and laboratory); the preparation of design documents, such as technical specifications, technical reports, construction quality assurance plans with all supporting calculations, and construction drawings. He has also participated in meetings, on behalf of his clients, with regulatory agencies to address various permitting issues.

Before joining SRK in 2020, Tarik worked as a consultant on various geotechnical and waste management projects eventually extending his experience into mining. Once in mining, he worked primarily as a geotechnical engineer consulting on various mine waste projects located in the U.S., Canada, Central, and South America. Tarik holds a Professional Engineer (PE) License in California, Arizona, and Nevada. He has authored over 70 technical publications and is a member of the American Society of Engineers and the International Geosynthetics Society.
